Jamshedpur, September 8: Brahmananda Narayana Hospital (BNH) in Jamshedpur, a unit of Narayana Health, Bangalore, marked 15 years of providing world-class cardiac surgery services. Since the inception of the cardiac surgery program in 2008, the dedicated team at BNH has performed over 4,000 life-saving procedures, earning a reputation as one of the top cardiac centers in the region.
Dr. Perwaiz Alam, Chief Cardiac Surgeon, expressed pride in the team’s achievements while stating, “Reaching this 15-year milestone is a testament to the dedication, skill, and compassion of our entire cardiac surgery team. We are honored to have made a difference in so many lives and look forward to continuing our mission of providing exceptional cardiac care.”
The team has been recognized for its ability to perform surgeries on patients ranging from a 6-day-old premature newborn to a 90-year-old patient, demonstrating expertise in both adult and pediatric cardiac surgeries.
To celebrate this milestone, BNH organized a Patient Connect Meet program, bringing together individuals who had undergone cardiac surgery. The event aimed to foster a sense of community among post-surgery patients, provide ongoing support, and share valuable insights on maintaining heart health post-recovery.
The program featured presentations by Dr. Perwaiz Alam, who discussed the latest advancements in cardiac surgery, the importance of lifestyle changes after surgery, and strategies to prevent future cardiac problems. The event also included a Q&A session where patients could address their concerns directly with the medical team, including Dr. Rahul Debdas and Dr. Ramanuj Lal (Cardiac Anesthetics). Testimonials from past patients offered encouragement and hope to those currently navigating their post-surgery experience.
Facility Director Vinit Raj emphasized the hospital’s commitment to comprehensive cardiac care, stating, “As one of the leading providers of cardiac surgery services in the region, we at Narayana Hospital Jamshedpur are proud to host the Patient Connect Meet program. This initiative showcases our unwavering commitment to educating and supporting cardiac patients throughout their journey, and we will continue to organize similar events regularly.”
