Bone marrow transplant to start soon at TMH Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, March 25: Bone marrow transplant is soon going to start at Tata Main Hospital (TMH). Earlier, it was started in the year 2020, but discontinued after some time. Now once again the service is going be available at the hospital, said Dr. Sudhir Rai, GM of Tata Steel Medical Services, at a virtual press conference on Saturday.
“With the introduction of bone marrow transplant facility, people will get considerable relief and there will be no need to go outside the city for treatment. Many new facilities have been started in Tata Main Hospital. People can get their wellness test done by going to the dispensary located in Sonari. Even if you are fine, you can go and get your test done so that you do not become a victim of any disease in future. Booking and all other facilities have been started in TMH in a digital way,” said Dr Rai.

Dr Rai said expert care facility was also being provided to patients so that they get all relevant information online. He said there is a need to make many more improvements in TMH, for which work is going on. “For the convenience of patients, every service at the OPD is being made better. Recently, Diabetes Center has been set to provide treatment for diabetes and other related diseases to people,” he said.
