Ranchi: A team of Bokaro police has left for Patna to arrest Bharatiya Janata Party leader Giriraj Singh for allegedly making a controversial statement during Parliamentary election campaign.
The police have got an arrest warrant against the BJP leader after a case was lodged against him for alleged violation of the Model Code of Conduct.
The non-bailable warrant was issued by the court of sub divisional judicial magistrate of Bokaro Amit Shekhar.
The superintendent of police, Bokaro, Jitendra Kumar Singh, has sent the team to carry out the warrant order.
