BNMH to organize Walkathon in Jamshedpur on Sept 29

Jamshedpur, Sept: On the eve of World Heart Day, Brahmananda Narayana Multispecialty Hospital (BNMH) will be organizing a walkathon for the citizens of Jamshedpur on 29th of September. The participants include corporate and media houses, educational institutions, healthcare professionals, government bodies, eminent clubs, and societies. Walkathon will start at 6:30 AM from Modi Park near JRD Tata Sports Complex and will follow the route in order of Straight Mile Road, Sakchi Main Circle, Jubilee Park Road (Red Cross Society), and then converge back at Modi Park.

Dr. Ajay Agrawal & Dr. Pankaj Gupta will inaugurate the walkathon by flag off the event. �We are expecting over 2000 people from all age groups to participate in the walkathon,” said Dr. Perwaiz Alam, BNMH.

�Heart diseases are on the rise in India. Heart attack, for example, takes one life every 33 seconds in the country. We intend to create awareness among masses on causes and prevention of heart diseases through this walkathon�, adds Dr. Alam.

BNMH has also arranged some fun side-events as part of the walkathon. Placards will dot the scene carrying impressive quotations; a selfie corner will be installed and a panel of BNMH doctors including Dr. Perwaiz Alam- Senior Cardiac Surgeon; Dr. Abhay Krishna, Dr. Priti Singhania , Dr. Ajay Agrawal � Interventional Cardiology and Dr. Pankaj Gupta – Pediatric Cardiologist will provide health tips to the participants.
