Blood donation camp at DAV Bistupur collects 204 units

Jamshedpur, April 11: DAV Public School, Bistupur, organised a mega blood donation camp on Saturday in collaboration with Jamshedpur Blood Bank to mark the birth anniversary of Mahatma Hansraj and the school’s Inception Day.

The camp, held under the guidance of Principal and ARO Pragya Singh, aimed to address the shortage of blood in the community and promote voluntary donation. A total of 204 volunteers, including staff, parents, and alumni donated blood.

Students played an active role in encouraging donors and spreading awareness about blood donation. They were awarded certificates of appreciation for their efforts. Young medical volunteers also participated, helping to dispel myths and promote the message ‘Raktdaan Mahadaan’.

Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum Karn Satyarthi attended as the Chief Guest. Other dignitaries present included Nalini Rammurty, Secretary, Jamshedpur Blood Bank, Sanjay Choudhary, GM, and Arijit Sarkar, Director of Pratik Sangharsh Foundation.
