Blood donation a great humanitarian service: DC Amit Kumar

Press Club of Jamshedpur organizes blood donation camp at Dhalbhum Club

Jamshedpur: Press Club of Jamshedpur organized a blood donation camp in commemoration of journalist late Jai Kumar at Dhalbhum Club, Sakchi, on Sunday.

State food minister Saryu Roy was also present at the camp. The camp was inaugurated by the Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum Amit Kumar.

The DC said that blood donation is a great voluntary service of humanity. Blood donation camps should be held on a regular basis so that there is no scarcity of blood in emergency situations.

Also present on the occasion, SSP Anoop Birtharay said there is no alternative of blood which is why blood donation is called the greatest of all donations.

Other dignitaries present at the camp included RAF Deputy Commandant Rakesh Kumar, Press Club president B Srinivas, Pravin Sethi, Anni Amrita, Rajkumar Singh, PN Singh, Abhay Singh, Babua Singh, Sanjeev Acharya, Dharmendra Prasad, Bablu Jha and Pankaj Sinha.
