Jamshedpur : Blaster routed Spark by 48 runs in finals to clinch 3rd GBPL (Gurdwara Basti Premier League) cricket title in style on Sunday.
Prem of team Spark was named as Man of the Series while Blaster team�s Navneet Kumar and Maninder Singh was adjudged best batsman and bowler of season respectively. All matches including finals were played at Gurdwara ground, Sakchi. The third participating team �Magic� tabled third after losing all matches.
Team Spark invited Blaster for batting first after winning the toss wherein skipper Baljeet Sansoa contributed 20 run while Goldu (24), Navneet (42) and Deepak (19) added valuable runs in the team total. Blaster made 132 runs in stipulated 12 overs. Prem and Bittu bagged three wickets each while captain Lalli took two wickets for Spark.
Batting second team Spark managed only 83 run for the loss of all wickets. Maninder�s five-wicket haul proved too costly for runners up team. Munna and Deepak claimed two wickets each while Navneet took one for Blaster. Bittu scored 35 runs while Banty made 12 runs for Spark.
