Ichagarh, Sep 26: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organized a Parivartan Sankalp Sabha in the Ichagarh assembly constituency of Seraikela-Kharsawan district on Thursday. The rally saw a remarkable turnout, with thousands of supporters braving heavy rain to attend. Former Chief Minister Champai Soren was the chief guest, while Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth and former MLA Arvind Singh also graced the occasion as special guests. The enthusiasm of the crowd remained unwavering despite the adverse weather conditions.

Addressing the gathering, Champai Soren took the opportunity to criticize the current government, highlighting what he termed rampant corruption and the illegal exploitation of mineral resources in the state. “Corruption is at its peak in Jharkhand. There is rampant looting of our mineral wealth. When I was the Chief Minister, I worked to stop all illegal businesses, which is why I was humiliated and removed under a conspiracy,” he stated. Soren further raised concerns about Bangladeshi infiltration, claiming it is particularly pronounced in the Santhal Pargana region. “Infiltrators are marrying our innocent tribal sisters to grab land. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is very serious about this issue, and we have resolved to drive out the infiltrators from our state. The people have made up their minds for change, and change will happen,” he asserted.

Union Minister Sanjay Seth echoed Soren’s sentiments, urging attendees to pledge their support for change. “The people of Jharkhand deserve better leadership. We must stand together and commit to bringing about the change that our state needs,” he declared. Seth did not hold back in his critique of the Hemant Soren government, stating, “The current administration has failed the people, and it’s time for us to reclaim our state’s dignity.”

BJP leader Vinod Rai, the organizer of the event, emphasized the party’s historical significance in the constituency. “The Ichagarh assembly has been a traditional seat for the BJP. The people here are ready for a change, and we are confident that we will make a strong comeback,” he asserted. The rally not only reinforced the BJP’s resolve but also signalled a potential shift in the political landscape of the region as the party seeks to regain its footing amidst growing discontent among the electorate.
