Major administrative reshuffle: 40 DSP-level officers transferred in Jharkhand

Jamshedpur, Sep 26: In a major administrative overhaul, the Jharkhand government has transferred 40 officers at the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) level, reflecting its strategy to enhance policing and improve governance across the state. Among the notable transfers, Sunil Kumar Chaudhary from the Anti-Corruption Bureau has been appointed as the City DSP for Jamshedpur, while Manoj Thakur from the Jharkhand Armed Police in Jamshedpur has been designated as the Jamshedpur CCR DSP. These appointments come as part of the government’s ongoing efforts to ensure effective law enforcement in urban areas.
Additionally, Ashok Kumar Ram, previously the Jamtara IRB-1 DSP, has been assigned as the Ranchi Beddo DSP, and Neeraj, formerly of Hazaribagh Headquarter-2, will now serve as the Ranchi Khelari DSP. Rajesh Kumar, the Khunti Headquarter DSP, is now the Ranchi ATS DSP, and Kishore Kumar Rajak, Dumka SIRB-1 DSP, has been transferred to serve as Ranchi ACB (Anti-Corruption Bureau) DSP. The government has also made several changes in leadership positions across various districts, including Pawan Kumar, previously Ranchi Jaguar DSP, who has been appointed as the SDGPO of Barkagaon, and Amit Kumar, reassigned from the Jamtara DSP role to Senior DSP at Hazaribagh Headquarters.
Further, Ajit Kumar Vimal has been moved from the DSP CID position to SDPO of Barhi, while Sameer Kumar Sawaiya has shifted from Kisko SDPO of Lohardaga to SDPO of Seraikela. Santosh Kumar has transitioned from Jarmundi SDPO to SDPO of Pakur, and Jayshree Kujur has been shifted from Railway DSP Jamshedpur to DSP of Pakur Headquarters. Other significant transfers include Vidya Shankar moving from ACB Ranchi to Bagmara SDPO and Dhirendra Kumar Banka from Railway Dhanbad DSP to Dhanbad Headquarters DSP. Shakeel Abid Shams has also been transferred from Bokaro CCR DSP to Dhanbad DSP, while Jeetwahan Oraon transitions from Koderma DSP to Giridih SDPO.
Satyendra Prasad is moving from the Special Branch in Ranchi to Madhupur SDPO, and Ashok Kumar Singh is being transferred from Anti-Terrorism Squad DSP to Deoghar SDPO. This extensive reshuffle aims to streamline operations and enhance the effectiveness of law enforcement in the state, with officers reassigned to various strategic locations, including Barwadih in Latehar, Godda, and Chakradharpur. Overall, the government’s decision to transfer these officers underscores its commitment to improving police service delivery and public safety in Jharkhand.
