Jamshedpur, April 6: Bharatiya Janata Party is world’s biggest political party which follows the principles and values of democracy in its true sense. This was observed on Wednesday by the national vice president of BJP and former Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das on the occasion of 42nd foundation day of the party.
Das, addressing party workers during a grand foundation day ceremony organized at the district office in Sakchi by the Jamshedpur Mahanagar unit of BJP, said, “The BJP is growing continuously into a large organization with growing public support due to its intrinsic democratic values and conviction. In sharp contrast, the dynastic parties are fighting for their existence today.”
Das threw light on the foundation of Bharatiya Jan Sangh by Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee in 1951. “After Emergency, Bharatiya Jan Sangh merged with the newly formed Janata Party. But when the national scenario and the country’s fate did not change even after change of power, the BJP was established on 6th April 1980. Today the BJP has completed its 41 years,” he said.
The ex-CM said the BJP cherishes the lofty ideals valued by Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, Pundit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya and former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He said today the party had reached the apex of political power under the unparalleled leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national president JP Nadda have also contributed immensely to the party’s growth, he said.
The BJP leader congratulated party workers on party’s foundation day. He was accompanied by the former state BJP president Dr Dineshanand Goswami, former MLA Menka Sardar, Anil Modi, Ram Babu Tiwary, Rajesh Shukla, Chandrashekhar Mishra, Abhay Singh, Kulwant Singh Bunty and other party leaders.
At the beginning of celebrations, Raghubar Das hoisted the party flag at the district office. A march on foot was taken out from district office to Sakchi roundabout. Party workers carried party flag and raised slogans on this occasion. They watched PM Modi’s address to party workers on an LED screen.
