BJP Slams State Govt Over “False Claims” on Jharkhand Investments

Ranchi/New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State Spokesperson Sandeep Verma accused the Jharkhand government and Chief Minister Hemant Soren of deceiving the people of Jharkhand with false dreams. Verma said that Soren promised employment to the youth, yet lakhs of youth are still unemployed. While women were assured safety, the rising crime rate in the state remains a continuous matter of concern, he said.

“Now, the government is selling dreams of new industries and investments, whereas the reality on the ground is completely different,” Verma said, referring to the National Stakeholders’ Consultation in New Delhi.

Verma pointed out that while ministers from other departments attended the National Stakeholders’ Consultation in New Delhi, the State Finance Minister, Radhakrishna Kishore, skipped this crucial meeting despite being present in Delhi. This absence raises major questions about the seriousness of the event. Verma added that this indicates the high-profile meet at the Hotel Taj is merely an illusion to deceive the public.

He stated that the BJP demands an accountability report of the last seven years from the Chief Minister. The CM must disclose how many major industries were established during his tenure and how many permanent jobs they generated. According to available information, the government has failed to set up even a single major industry.

He added that if the government talks about Artificial Intelligence (AI), Information Technology (IT), and digital governance, it must also clarify how many IT parks, startup hubs, technology centres, or innovation centres have actually been established to provide employment opportunities to Jharkhand’s youth.
