Ranchi: JVM (P) chief Babulal Marandi while toeing the line of JMM opposed the move of the present government to provide jobs to outsiders.
He said that the BJP is up to provide government jobs to outsiders to gain political mileage. Marandi further said that if BJP-led government comes out with a proposal with regard to domicile policy in next assembly session the JVM (P) would support it.
He observed that the State Government along with Centre can enact law for a limited time to enforce ban on outsiders seeking jobs in Jharkhand.
Addressing a press meet today Babulal Marandi said that since the formation of Jharkhand several parties came to power in Jharkhand but none had promulgated domicile policy.
Persons from Bihar, Bengal and Uttar Pradesh had grabbed jobs in earlier recruitments in the State, while original inhabitants were left in the lurch, he said.
Hitting out at BJP Marandi said that BJP had quashed the provisions of giving priority to residents of Jharkhand for jobs. The current move of the present government to dole out jobs to outsiders is aimed at gaining mileage in assembly elections coming up in Bengal, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.
Referring to land acquisition act Marandi demanded alternate land to owners as compensation for land acquired. He said that land acquisition act has been amended keeping in view of the interests of the corporate houses.
He further said that JVM (P) members would hold demonstrations against defection of six JVM (P) legislators to BJP during February 19 and 23.
