Jamshedpur, May 20: A delegation of Mango unit of Bharatiya Janata Party put up an agitation before the electricity department on Friday to demand an end to the power-related woes of the people of the city.
Leading the agitation, the Mango unit president Vinod Rai said the power scenario in Mango was really deplorable and it needed immediate attention of the authorities concerned. The dilapidated electric poles, cables, transformers and other related infrastructure should be immediately replaced so that the power supplies do not get affected, he said.
The BJP leaders said they had sent numerous letters to the electricity department officials but no action had been taken on their pleas.
