Jamshedpur, July 17: A delegation of Jamshedpur Mahanagar BJP leaders met the special officer of Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee on Wednesday and handed him a petition demanding measures to curb illegal collection of exorbitant parking fees from citizens.
Leading the delegation, DD Tripathy said the parking contractors were collecting whimsical amounts from citizens as parking fees. There is no regularity or control over parking fees collection in the city, he said.
Tripathy said there is no provision for collecting parking fees on Saturdays and Sundays.
Among those present on the occasion included Ghanshyam Pandey, Suraj Kumar Tiwary, Suraj Mishra and Mintu Mishra.
