Jamshedpur: An inspiring celebration of creativity, confidence, and collective learning unfolded at Kamani Auditorium, with the staging of “Voices of the World”, a vibrant dance musical featuring children from schools across Jamshedpur.
The programme provided a unique experiential platform for young performers, focusing on the development of stagecraft, confidence, discipline, stamina, and teamwork. Unlike conventional competitive events, Voices of the World emphasised learning through experience, enabling children to perform under professional lighting, sound, acoustics, and camera settings, thereby familiarising them with the realities of a large-scale stage production.
The event was graced by Chief Guest Rupa Mukherjee Mahanty, while Guests of Honour Mr. Niroop Mahanty, Sister Jessie, and Daisy Irani encouraged the participants and appreciated the thoughtful concept behind the initiative. Their presence added warmth and inspiration to the evening.
Organized by the Khushboo Singh Centre for Excellence & Social Change (KSCESC), the programme was led by a dedicated team of women leaders— Nisha Taunk, Raj Laxmi Moonka, Mansi Agrawal, and Navita Rungta—whose vision, coordination, and commitment were instrumental in the successful execution of the production.
Through a series of expressive and thematic dance sequences, the children reflected on their relationship with nature, the hidden pressures of growing up, family bonds, freedom of self-expression, and hope for the future. Voices of the World emerged as a meaningful cultural initiative that celebrated not just performance, but participation, emotional growth, and the joy of shared learning, leaving the audience deeply moved and inspired.
