BJP leader Niraj Singh backs Saryu Roy, rejects independent run

Jamshedpur, Oct 21: In a significant political development, BJP leader Niraj Singh has declared his support for NDA candidate and current MLA Saryu Roy in the upcoming elections. Addressing a press conference in Sakchi, Singh emphasized his commitment to the BJP, stating, “We are with the BJP and will remain so.”

The backdrop of Singh’s announcement comes as the BJP prepares to field a candidate from the Janata Dal United (JDU) for the Jamshedpur West constituency, leading to Saryu Roy being nominated as the party’s candidate. Singh expressed confidence in Roy’s leadership and pledged his support, underscoring the importance of party unity.

Accompanying Singh at the press conference were prominent BJP leaders, including Deepu Singh, Nitin Trivedi, Sushil Pandey, Amarendra Paswan, Binod Rai, and Sunil Kumar. The group collectively expressed their commitment to support the BJP candidate in Jamshedpur East and the NDA candidate in Jamshedpur West.

In a related meeting, Jamshedpur BJP president Sudhanshu Ojha also met with Saryu Roy, encouraging him to campaign alongside the BJP. Prominent BJP women leaders, including Neeru Singh, Krishna Sharma, and Ajay Srivastava, attended the gathering, where they collectively pledged to work towards ensuring Saryu Roy’s victory.
