Jamshedpur, Jan 8: Former MLA and dynamic spokesperson of Jharkhand BJP, Kunal Sarangi, is set to be honored with the prestigious International Youth Icon Award in Chicago, USA. The award ceremony, scheduled for January 28, 2024, during the Republic Day Festival celebrations, will recognize Kunal Sarangi’s remarkable contributions to education, health, and social welfare for the youth in Jharkhand. The invitation was extended by the Chicago unit of the Federation of Indians Association (FIA), an international non-profit organization representing over three lakh Indians and Asians in the United States.
FIA-Chicago focuses on promoting Indian history and cultural heritage, working in coordination with the Indian Ministry of External Affairs and various Indian embassies in America. The organization commended Kunal Sarangi’s outstanding efforts in their email invitation, highlighting his special campaigns that have positively impacted Jharkhand’s youth.
Expressing his gratitude and dedication of the honor to the people of Jharkhand, particularly East Singhbhum, Kunal Sharangi acknowledged the support and inspiration he received from the local community during the global pandemic, especially in his efforts related to Covid-19 relief work. This recognition follows Kunal Sarangi’s earlier international honors, including his participation in the IVLP, the prestigious leadership program of the US government, in 2018. He was the first politician from Jharkhand to be part of this renowned program. Subsequently, MLA Deepika Pandey Singh also received this honor.
