Jamshedpur, Mar 29: Under the leadership of BJP Jamshedpur Mahanagar, a grand Bihar Day celebration and cultural gathering was organized at Michael John Auditorium, Bistupur, on Thursday. The event was in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” and “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.”
Presided over by Jamshedpur Mahanagar BJP President Sudhanshu Ojha, the event witnessed participation from thousands of members of the migrant Bihari community and several social organizations. The chief guest and keynote speaker was Amarendra Pratap Singh, former Bihar minister and MLA from Arrah, while notable guests included former Jharkhand CM Arjun Munda, Bihar Legislative Council member Bablu Gupta, state minister Nandji Prasad, BJP spokesperson Amarpreet Singh Kale, district general secretaries Anil Modi and Sanjeev Singh and event convener Vijay Tiwari.
The event featured discussions on Bihar’s rich cultural heritage, glorious traditions and national unity, accompanied by captivating musical and artistic performances showcasing Bihar’s legacy, customs and artistic traditions. The program also included extensive discussions on the NDA government’s achievements, highlighting welfare initiatives and developmental progress in Bihar.
Amarendra Pratap Singh stresses cultural integrity
Addressing the gathering, Amarendra Pratap Singh expressed his deep connection to Jamshedpur, calling it his home. He stated that Bihar and Jharkhand, two states renowned for their rich history and cultural heritage, are facing significant challenges, including rising conversions and threats to their cultural identity.
Singh emphasized that safeguarding cultural roots is essential and called for BJP’s strength at every level to counter these challenges. He urged the people of Bihar and Jharkhand to protect their heritage and move forward with unity, as their integrity is their true strength.
Arjun Munda recalls Bihar-Jharkhand’s historic contributions
Former CM Arjun Munda paid tribute to great leaders from Bihar and Jharkhand, recalling his experiences in the Bihar Assembly during Jharkhand’s separation. He reinforced the idea that India is one nation and its citizens, regardless of state affiliation, should contribute to its welfare.
Munda highlighted Bihar’s intellectual legacy, mentioning its role in shaping global knowledge through scholars like Chanakya and Kautilya and its historic institutions like Takshashila and Vikramshila.
Bablu Gupta highlights NDA’s development efforts
Bablu Gupta, Bihar Legislative Council member, discussed the NDA government’s achievements, drawing a comparison between Bihar’s condition in 2005 and its rapid progress today.
State co-convenor of the event, Shailendra Singh, provided detailed insights into Bihar’s establishment as a state.
The program began with a welcome speech by BJP Jamshedpur Mahanagar President Sudhanshu Ojha, followed by event moderation by district general secretary Sanjeev Singh and a vote of thanks by event convener Vijay Tiwari.
The Bihar-Jharkhand cultural connection was celebrated not just through words and performances but also through traditional cuisine. Attendees enjoyed an array of authentic dishes from both states.
The event saw participation from various social organizations and thousands of members of the migrant Bihari community in Jamshedpur.
