Jamshedpur : Senior BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu on Sunday claimed that the BJP would get more than 250 seats in the Lok Sabha elections while its arch rival Congress will bag the minimum seats ever. He said that the Congress will face worst defeat.
Talking to the reporters soon after his arrival at Sonari aerodromethis afternoon, Naidu expressed confidence that the saffron brigade will bag maximum seats this time and will not need for post poll alignment with any other party to form the Government in Centre. Naidu slammed Congress for its false promises and accused the party members of indulging in vote bank politics.
�I have been campaigning across the country and let me assure you our country is gripped with Modi wave. The NDA will get 300 plus seats and the next Government will be formed under the leadership of Narendra Modi,� said Naidu reiterating that the question of seeking post-poll support does not arise.
Answering queries of the reporters, Naidu said that development is the only agenda of the party and voted to power the party will fulfill all its promises. He said that the Congress was playing vote bank politics while the BJP has the only poll plank and that is the progress and the welfare of people.
Questioned on the rising popularity of Aam Admi Party, Naidu claimed that the Aam Admi Party is just the B team of Congress party. It has lost credibility and faith. People are not willing to support them. He also expressed surprise that though the Congress Party has been ruling the country for last six decades but AAP is targeting BJP for the misrule. This only goes to show that Congress and AAP is working hand-in glove.
When asked to comment on the claims made by TMC leader Mamata Banerjee that she can topple Jharkhand Government whenever she wants, Naidu said that his party will welcome any such move made.
Latter addressing the public rally at Kadma Ganesh Puja Maidan, Naidu promised a stable Government in the Centre. He went on to add that BJP is dedicated to providing a transparent government in the State. It will not allow corruption to prevail and promote development activities.
The senior BJP leader also came heavily upon Congress Party for �throwing� the State towards instability and corruption.
Senior BJP leaders Arjun Munda, Sarayu Roy and Raghuwar Das along with BJP candidate Vidyut Baran Mahto were present the public meeting.
