Jamshedpur: A delegation of Bharatiya Janata Party members met the deputy commissioner (DC) and the senior superintendent of police (SSP) of East Singhbhum on Tuesday to demand arresting of culprits responsible for lynching of innocent people in Nagadih village of Bagbera.
Leading the delegation, district BJP president Dinesh Kumar said police had failed to arrest all the culprits even after the passage of one month to the incident. He said the people were panicky after the incident and hence stringent police action was needed to reinstate the faith of public in policy machinery.
The SSP assured the BJP delegation members of arresting the culprits very soon. He said the police were about to take major action against the culprits in next one week.
Meanwhile, the BJP leaders talked to the DC and sought jobs for the next of kin of the youths lynched by mob in Nagadih.
Among those present on the occasion included Sanjeev Kumar, Pawan Agrawal, Anil Modi, Vimal Jalan, Ankit Anand, Prakash Joshi, Nagendra Pandey and Hanu Jain.
