Jamshedpur, March 12: A chaotic situation was witnessed outside the residence of Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato at Bistupur on Sunday when BJP and Congress workers clashed with each other.

Both sides assaulted each other till Bistupur police reached the scene and called Quick Response Team (QRT) to control the situation. After QRT’s arrival, Congress workers sat on dharna for half an hour.

The Congress workers had come to the MP’s residence to stage demonstration in protest against the incident of assault on Congress leader and former Jamshedpur MP Dr Ajoy Kumar in Tripura recently.

District Congress president in-charge Dharmendra Sonkar said the Modi government had failed to contain inflation and unemployment.
