Jamshedpur: Various units of Bharatiya Janata Party held condolence meets on Tuesday to pay homage to Gopinath Munde, Union minister and senior party leader, who died following a road accident. A large number of party leaders and activists gathered during the condolence meet and paid floral tributes to late Munde.
The vice president of Sakchi unit of BJP Raghavendra Pratap Singh said Munde was a dedicated and hard working leader of the party. He said Munde had carved a niche for himself in the Indian politics and that he will be remembered for his contributions for a long time to come.
Members of Kadma unit of BJP too, paid homage to the Union minister. The Kadma unit president of BJP Rakesh Singh said Munde was a leader of the masses and a down-to-earth man. Many others remembered Munde as a popular leader.
Among those who paid homage to Munde included Shatrughan Giri, Sunil Singh, Ratnesh Dubey, Harendra Pandey, Gaurav Singh, Shashi Sharma, Arjun Singh, Rakesh Pandey, Arvind Mahato, Manoj Singh, Manish Pandey, Deepu Singh, Gopal Jaisawal, Neeraj Singh, TD Ganguli, Mahadev Prasad, Sonu Singh and Tarak Mukherjee.
