200 Jamshedpur women duped of Rs 20 crore, mini finance companies role investigated

Jamshedpur, December 31: Agents of mini finance companies duped 200 women of Jamshedpur of about Rs 20 crores.

 Loans were taken in the names of these women after taking their documents. Only when the officials of various banks and mini finance companies started putting pressure on them for the recovery of the loan, the women came to know about the fraud.

In the last 15 days, 200 women have complained about this in different police stations, after which an investigation has been ordered.

Asma Khatoon of Mango Azad Basti told that she got a call from Bandhan Bank that a loan of Rs 1 lakh has been taken in her name once and Rs 70,000 the second time. The agent said that people need money, so loan will be taken from their documents.

In return she will get Rs 10,000. The needy will pay the loan installment every month. First a loan of Rs 40 to 50 thousand was taken, the money of which was deposited. In return, those from whose documents loans were taken were also given Rs 4 to 5 thousand. When this amount was deposited, later a larger amount was withdrawn on the same document. Among these, the maximum loan was taken from Bandhan Bank.

The women complained about the incident to Congress minority cell district president Sohail Khan. After that everyone reached Mango police station and complained about the incident. After various complaints, it is being investigated on the orders of SSP.

Among the cases that have come to the police, maximum are of Mango and Kapali. The women of the colony were made agents by the finance agency officials. Investigation is being done after complaints received from every police station. Most of the people of Mango have been made victims. If necessary, a case will be registered.
