Jamshedpur: Bistupur police busted a cyber theft gang involved in withdrawal of Rs 50 lakh from a city based industrialist bank account last month. DSP composite control room (CCR) Sudhir Kumar said the a team of Bistupur police tracked the culprit in Rajasthan and nabbed him on Saturday and was brought to city today.
The accused Matadin Singh Shitalwar (36) a resident of Basairi in Dhaulpur district of Rajasthan has several bank accounts in his name and the kingpin of the cyber fraud gang used to deposit through online transaction.
According to Bistupur police, the matter came to light when on September 20 last, Adityapur-based industrialist, Pramod Kumar Singh lodged a complaint at Bistupur police station about fraudulent withdrawal of Rs 50 lakh from his Bank of Baroda, Bistupur branch account. The transaction of Rs 50 lakh was done in banks of Delhi and Rajasthan.
