Bio-mining to remove garbage mound  from Jamshedpur Marine Drive 

Jamshedpur, August 3: Garbage will not be seen in Sonari Marine Drive located in Jamshedpur city under East Singhbhum district after six months.

Mound of garbage will be removed using bio-mining system. After this the vacant land will be developed as a ground or park. An agreement has been reached regarding this on Wednesday.

48000 metric tonnes of garbage will be removed Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC).

Special Officer JNAC  Sanjay Kumar and technical director Guru Ramdas Construction Prashant signed the agreement.

Under the agreement, approximately 48000 metric tonnes of waste will be diverted from the dumpsite through bio-mining and resource recovery. Rs 4 crore 26 lakh will be spent on this. The company will start work in a week. A time limit of six months has been fixed to remove all the garbage.

For a long time, the mound of waste coming out of Mango, JNAC, Adityapur and Jugsalai municipal areas is collected in the dumping ground at Sonari Marine Drive.

Fertilizer will be made from waste, it will be used in fuel. Metals coming out of bio-mining for disposal of waste will be melted and brought into solid form. Plastic will also be recycled. Compost will be made from the disposed waste. The waste which cannot be disposed of will be given to the concerned institutions for fuel and road construction work. Fuel will also be made from the waste.
