Biker gang busted in Jamshedpur, 10 arrested with arms and vehicles

Jamshedpur, June 27: Sidhgora police have busted a notorious biker gang that had been spreading fear in Sidhgora and surrounding areas of Jamshedpur. Acting on specific intelligence, the police conducted a late-night operation led by Sidhgora Police Station in-charge Ghulam Rabbani Khan and arrested ten members of the gang, known as “Smarty Nightrider.”

According to police sources, the gang was actively involved in various criminal activities including night-time robberies. During the raid, a country-made pistol, two live bullets, a mobile phone, a car, and a motorcycle were recovered. The gang members, known for their reckless biking and public nuisance during the night, used to upload videos of their stunts and criminal acts on Instagram to gain notoriety.

Among the arrested were Raja Singh alias Murgi Jallad (Bagunahatu Bharat Sevashram Sangh), Sahil Singh Sardar alias Raffer (Bagunahatu Gajra Chowk), Piyush Day (Bagunanagar TOP), Saurabh Kumar alias Laden (Bagunahatu Bihari Sti), Mahesh Singh Bhumij (Baridih Basti Patna Line), Shubham Kalindi (Bagunahatu River Road), Sagar Nag (Bagunahatu Samaj Club), Atish Kumar Nag (Sidgora 10 Number Basti Padma Road), Mukesh Gorai (Sidgora 6 Number Road Bagunahatu), and Deva Behera (Burmamines Sidhu Kanhu Basti).

Police confirmed that four of the arrested individuals had prior criminal records. Raja Singh had three cases registered against him in Sidgora and Sitaramdera police stations, while Shubham Kalindi, Sagar Nag, and Saurabh Kumar each had one case filed against them. The police were continuing their investigation and more arrests might follow in the coming days.
