9-Day Micro Teaching Workshop at Karim City College Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: A nine-day Micro Teaching Workshop commenced on Thursday at the Mango campus of the Faculty of Education, Karim City College, aimed at enhancing the teaching skills of B.Ed. and D. El.Ed. (2024–26 batch)  students. The workshop, being held from June 26 to July 5, 2025, has been structured into three daily sessions focusing on both theory and practical training.

The program began with a welcome address and introductory session on micro teaching by Dr. Nusrat Begum. In the second session, Dr. Samiullah provided an in-depth explanation of Writing Instructional Objectives, offering valuable insights into designing effective lesson plans.

In the third session, students engaged in hands-on micro teaching practice, conducted under the guidance of faculty members.

Dr. Parveen Usmani, Head of the Department (In-Charge), highlighted the significance of micro teaching in shaping future educators and provided valuable guidance to students throughout the session. Other key contributors to the workshop included Dr. Bina Kumari, who served as the workshop in-charge, along with all professors from the Faculty of Education.

The workshop aimed to foster confidence, instructional clarity, and classroom management skills in aspiring teachers, ensuring their readiness for future teaching roles. (w/gsd)
