Jamshedpur, May 5: National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate from Jamshedpur Bidyut Baran Mahato conducted a whirlwind tour of Matiabandhi panchayat in Chakulia under Baharagora Assembly constituency on Sunday. He launched a mass contact drive in dozens of local villages including Ghaghra, Pakuria, Basadiha, Ganga and Durgadih.
Addressing villagers, Mahato said the Narendra Modi-led BJP government at the Centre had done a lot for the poor masses. The government prioritized many areas like defence and social welfare which were long neglected by the Congress governments, he said.
Mahato was accorded a traditional welcome at various places. He was accompanied by a large number of party workers and supporters. He appealed to voters to favour BJP in the elections. He said the Mahagathbandhan of Opposition parties was rudderless as it had failed to identify or elect its PM candidate.
Among those present during the campaign included Jagannath Mahato, Sameer Mohanty, Munna Joshi, Partho Mahato, Shatdal Mahato, Basudev Mahato, Sandhya Rani Sardar and Dinesh Singh.
