Jamshedpur, May 5: A delegation of Jamshedpur Lok Sabha BJP leaders met East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner cum Returning Officer Amit Kumar on Sunday to seek action against Trinamool Congress (TMC) for allegedly making false allegations against the BJP.
Leading the delegation, Pawan Agrawal, co-convenor of BJP Jamshedpur Lok Sabha election committee, said the TMC was trying to gain publicity by accusing the BJP workers of violence and vandalism. He said the TMC had resorted to a cheap publicity stunt to gain advantage in the Lok Sabha elections. He said the district administration had ordered closure of BJP�s Sitaramdera office. The office was closed in compliance with the order, he said.
The BJP leaders accused TMC candidate Anjana Mahato of trying to gain publicity by raking up a �non-issue�. They said the TMC had no presence in Jamshedpur Parliamentary constituency and hence it was obviously left with no other choice.
The delegation members included Sunil Das, Gurdev Singh Raja, Chandrashekhar Mishra, Boltu Sarkar, Palash Ghosh, Debu Sarkar, Sapan Roy, Mantu Banerjee, Santu Banerjee, Probir Chatterjee Rana, KL Nandi, Pravin Rana, Sunil Das and Amit Rai.
