Best Durga Puja pandals in Jamshedpur to be honoured

Jamshedpur: In a recent law and order meeting convened at Sidhgora Town Hall, Sidhgora, Jamshedpur, Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri chaired discussions with Central Peace Committee members, and Durga Puja Committee Chairmen/Secretaries alongside various departmental officials. The focus of the meeting was to commend organizers of Durga Puja Pandals in East Singhbhum district for their exemplary efforts in maintaining cleanliness, discipline, and safety standards during the festivities.

A key decision emerged from the meeting regarding the recognition of outstanding contributions, wherein certificates will be awarded to encourage healthy competition among organizers for celebrating the festival in a disciplined manner. The initiative is being spearheaded by a dedicated team formed under the leadership of Additional Deputy Commissioner, East Singhbhum, Jamshedpur.

The evaluation team comprises the following members: Sub-Divisional Officer, Dhalbhum, Jamshedpur/Ghatshila, Superintendent of Police, City/Rural Jamshedpur, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Traffic, Jamshedpur

Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Ghatshila

Special Officer, Jamshedpur Access

Executive Officer, Mango Municipal Corporation/Jugsalai Municipal Council

General Manager, JUSCO, Establishment Fire Officer, Golmuri, Jamshedpur,Chairman and Secretary of the concerned Central Peace Committee.

These officials, in collaboration with members of the Central Durga Puja Committee, will meticulously inspect puja pandals and assess various parameters. Their comprehensive reports are expected to be submitted to the Additional Deputy Commissioner, East Singhbhum, Jamshedpur, by 27.10.2023.

This initiative aims to ensure that after the festival, the findings will be presented in the district-level peace committee meeting, further promoting excellence in the organization of Durga Puja celebrations in the region.
