MP seeks CM�s intervention in expediting Jugsalai over-bridge work

Jamshedpur: The MP of Jamshedpur Vidyut Varan Mahato met Chief Minister Raghubar Das in Ranchi on Tuesday and raised the issue of the pending railway over-bridge (ROB) construction project at Jugsalai for early removal of roadblocks.

The principal secretary Mast Ram Meena told the CM and the MP that the Railway department had given a proposal seeking payment equal to the value of the land being used for the project. He also said that the file had been sent to the office of the CM.

Mahato requested the CM to expedite the project work since the payment to the Railways has to be done over a longer period. He said if initiative is taken in the right direction, the major demand of the people of the city for an over-bridge near Jugsalai railway level crossing could be fulfilled soon. The CM assured to take a decision regarding the project very shortly.

Mahato also discussed the issue of lease renewal of Uranium Corporation of India Limited (UCIL). To the demand for renewal, the CM gave his consent.

Further, discussing the issue of renovation of the HCL pond at Mosabani, the CM said he will get the work done by the department concerned. The CM also issued orders for preparation of detailed project report (DPR) for the construction of an elevated road from Govindpur to Dhanchatani.

The MP requested the CM to ensure the inclusion of Dand Chhatra Maal caste in Scheduled Caste category by sending his recommendation to the same to the Central government. Das said that he will soon send a proposal in this regard to the Central government.

Mahato told the CM about the announcement of construction of several roads during a programme at Sonari. He said the road projects are still to be implemented. The proposed roads are to be constructed from Bota to Boodam, Bhuiyasinan to Susani, Beko to Asanbani, Dumaria to Layalam Ghati and from Shyamsundarpur to Gudabandha.
