Banna Gupta meets Padma Shri Simone Oraon at RIMS

Seraikela, July 31: State Health Minister Banna Gupta visited the Oncology department of Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Ranchi, on Sunday to meet Padma Shri Simone Oraon.

After meeting Oraon, Gupta visited the ward and spoke to patients about healthcare facilities available in the hospital. He asked whether the doctors were punctual and whether the patients got food and medicines on time or not.

During the visit, Gupta was irked on seeing dirty bed sheets on patients’ beds. He directed the hospital superintendent to issue a show-cause notice to the agency concerned entrusted with the job of cleaning the bed-sheets and other soft furnishings. He further ordered an inquiry into the payments made to the agency in the last six months, sources said.
