Banna Gupta celebrates Gandhi Jayanti with community tributes in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, Minister for Health, Medical Education, Family Welfare, Food Public Distribution, and Consumer Affairs, Jharkhand,  Banna Gupta, along with District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner  Ananya Mittal, Senior Superintendent of Police  Kishore Kaushal, Rural SP  Rishabh Garg, and SDO Dhalbhum  Shatabdi Majumdar, gathered at Mango Gandhi Maidan to pay tribute to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. The dignitaries garlanded Gandhi’s statue and also honored former Prime Minister  Lal Bahadur Shastri on his birth anniversary.

In his address, Minister  Banna Gupta reflected on the 155th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, emphasizing the continued relevance of his teachings. “The path of truth and non-violence shown by Bapu is still meaningful for us today. His sacrifice and commitment during the freedom movement are a source of inspiration. Gandhi ji never resorted to violence or harsh words, yet he successfully led the country towards independence by following truth and non-violence,” the Minister remarked.

District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner  Ananya Mittal, while paying his respects, highlighted the ideals set by Gandhi as a beacon for present and future generations. He reiterated the district administration’s dedication to cleanliness, women’s empowerment, and taking the Swachh Bharat Mission to every village, ensuring the country becomes open defecation free.
