Banna and Bidyut inaugurate projects worth Rs 7 cr in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Oct 15: State Health Minister Banna Gupta and Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato jointly laid the foundation stone of 32 development projects worth Rs 7 crore in the city on Saturday.

Gupta said Rs 3.42 crore has been allotted for the beautification of Gandhi Maidan. He said the proposal for the beautification of Pardih roundabout ahs also been approved. He said his priority was to ensure development of his constituency. He added that the benefits of various government schemes would be extended to the people.

Sources said the projects would be funded by the Urban Development and Housing Department.

The MP said a large population lives in Mango and there was lack of civic amenities in the area. He said the drains in the area were in deplorable condition which led to clogging and water-logging during rains.

Mango Municipal Corportion Executive Officer Suresh Yadav was also present on this occasion.
