JEM Foundation promotes future-ready teaching with AI
Jamshedpur, April 4: A seminar titled “Demystifying AI” was organised in Jamshedpur for around 270 teachers, principals, vice-principals, and coordinators from JEM Foundation schools and colleges. The event marked an important step towards integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into mainstream education.

The initiative was conceptualised by Ruchi Narendran, Managing Trustee of JEM Foundation, with the aim of preparing educators for the changing digital landscape and building a future-ready teaching community.

The seminar was led by experts from Tata Steel, including Jayanta Banerjee, Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Soummo Bose, Chief AI Officer. They shared practical insights on how AI can support and enhance the teaching-learning process.

Key topics discussed during the session included the use of AI as a collaborative tool, its integration into classrooms, and the basics of prompt engineering. The speakers emphasised that AI has the potential to transform education by encouraging collaboration rather than competition.
The seminar was well received by participants, who found it useful in understanding how technology can improve teaching methods and student learning outcomes.
