Bank of Baroda organizes bike rally on 107th anniversary

Jamshedpur: Bank of Baroda celebrated its 107th anniversary with grand fervour on Sunday by organizing a number of programmes for its customers and the society.

Anil Kumar Singh, deputy general manager of Bank of Baroda for Jharkhand region, flagged off a motorcycle rally at Bistupur in the morning. The rally was organized to create awareness among the bank customers about various products and loan schemes of the bank. The rally passed through the city streets and culminated at Baroda Surya Bhavan, Bistupur, the office of Bistupur branch of the bank, after moving through Golmuri.

A health check up camp was organized for the bank employees on the occasion. An environment conservation campaign was launched at Khalsa Public School, Tinplate, by planting saplings.

The bank officials also donated a fan to the school under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. Study materials and sweets were distributed among students at Ramkrishna Mission School by the bank officials. A cultural event was organized at Motilal Nehru Public School, Sakchi, in the evening. Manoj Kumar of School of Hope and K Elisa were felicitated for canvas painting and dance contests respectively.

The assistant GM of the bank JC Mahe proposed a vote of thanks on the occasion.

The DGM said the bank offered house loan at an interest rate of 10.25 per cent and car loan at 10.50 per cent. Traders� loan up to Rs 4 crore is also provided by the bank. Educational loan up to Rs 20 lakh is provided for students. For girls, a discount of 1 per cent on interest rate is available. The cheapest available personal loan is available for an amount of Rs 10 lakh.

The bank is going to start e-stamping facility in all of its district headquarters, said Singh. He further said that prompt loans were approved in Ranchi through RLF facility. He further said that a small and medium enterprise (SME) loan factory was also functional in Ranchi, said the DGM.

There are a total of 74 branches of the bank in Jharkhand. All branches will be celebrating the anniversary by inviting their customers to the programme.
