Jamshedpur: Independence Day was celebrated with great fervour at the regional office of Bank of Baroda, Bistupur.
The bank staff and customers participated in the programme with enthusiasm. The regional head of the bank Anil Kumar Singh hoisted the National Flag. A chorus was also presented on the occasion.
The head of department, culture, Jamshedpur Women�s College, SN Pandey, was the chief guest of the occasion. He spoke on the significance of the day and threw light on a brief history of the country�s struggle for freedom.
The regional head of the bank said one should not give in to any kind of pressure or injustice. He said getting any kind of government assistance was every individual�s right.
