Jamshedpur, March 10: A JMM Nagar Samiti delegation led by the unit president Dolgobindo Lohra handed a letter addressed to the Deputy Commissioner demanding that entry of BJP and BJM groups be banned entry into Surya Mandir complex. The JMM observed in the letter that ever since the Assembly elections of 2019, the two factions in lured by the temple funds and to establish political one-up-manship had converted the entire Surya Mandir complex into an unethical battleground.
The JMM Nagar Samiti delegation in its letter to the DC stated that devotees and tourists were scared to visit the temple with the bitter developments marking the Mandir environs. It mentioned that the tremple had been constructed on government land with state funds and was meant for devotees and tourists alike. There was a children’s playground and provisions for organizing marriages and other parties. The JMM suggested in the latter that the management of the Surya Mandir Committee be taken over by the district administration and fronted by the SDO a committee should be formed with elite citizens. This committee should manage the affairs of the Surya Mandir.
