Jamshedpur: Members of Mango Nagar Vikas Samiti today met the deputy commissioner of East Singhbhum Dr Amitabh Kaushal and demanded a ban on entry of heavy vehicles in the city during the daytime.
The outfit president Vijay Tiwary said the entry of heavy vehicles had been leading to road mishaps in the city.
Many fatal mishaps had been witnessed as a result of rampant plying of heavy vehicles, he said. A memorandum was also handed over to the DC in this connection.
