Baldwin School girl wins seminar on ‘Pulses for Sustainable Food Security’

Jamshedpur, August 25: A district level science seminar on the topic ‘Pulses for Sustainable Food Security : Prospects and Challenges’ was organised by district education officer at Baldwin Farm Area High School in Kadma.

The seminar was inaugurated by the Deputy Commissioner, East Singhbhum, Amit Kumar, IAS in the gracious presence of Ananya Mittal, Trainee IAS, Sanjay Kumar Deputy Collector CM Office Jamshedpur PRO, Raj Kumar Prasad Singh District Education Officer, Principal and Students of various government, CBSE and ICSE schools.

The Chief guest DC Amit Kumar and Guest of honour Ananya Mittal shared their childhood experiences with the students and encouraged them to dream high and give their best performance for the seminar.

The three jury members who judged the seminar included Dr. Nili Bahadur (Asst. Professor ), Dr. Vishwraj Lal (Asst. Professor) and Nisha Singh (Asst. Professor from Women’s Collage, JSR). They judged the students on presentation, cross-questions and the written evaluation. 34 students from 17 different schools of the district participated at the seminar.

Shreya Mishra of Baldwin Farm Area High School, Kadma was crowned winner of the seminar, Prity Kumari of St. Mary’s Hindi High School, Bisturpur was second while Mousam Kumari of Guru Nanak High School, Sakchi remained at the third spot.

Program was conducted by Prabhat Kumar (Asst. Teacher, Jamshedpur High School Bistupur). Participant students and teachers also presented their views regarding this seminar. The vote of thanks was proposed by the Principal of Baldwin Farm Area High School Dr. Subhosree Sarkar.
