Jamshedpur, March 8: Baldeep Singh of Jugsalai and Jasleen Kaur of Golmuri were declared the fastest runners in the Hola Mahalla sports meet organised by Dharam Prachar Committee (DPC) by winning 100 meter race in style.
While Jugsalai lads Gurpeet Singh and Satpal Singh won silver and bronze medals respectively Refugee colony�s Jasmeet Kaur and Tavleen Kaur locked second and third spot respectively in same event.
This was the 3rd edition of the Hola Mahalla sports where in altogether 120 children from different parts of Jamshedpur participated with full zeal.
Besides main athletics events some fun games were also organised for the little aged children as they won hearts with their funny and unique styles of participation.
Kitadih Gurudwara President Bhupinder Singh was the chief guest on the occasion and he gave away the prizes to the runners and winners while All India Sikh Student Federation (AISSF) President Satnam Singh Gambhir, Ravindra Singh, Arjun Singh, Bibi Jasbir Kaur, Mandeep Singh were also present on the occasion as they too gave away the prizes to some the participants of fun games.
Later on Manpreet Kaur recited the story and history behind the festival of Hola Mahalla to all the participants of sports meet.
Sports committee members of DPC, Gursharan Singh, Baljeet Sansoa, Bibi Harpreet Kaur, Gurvinder Singh, Mandeep Kaur, Jaswant Singh, Jaswant Singh Bittu, Jaspreet Singh, Jagjot Singh, Happy Singh, Gagandeep Singh and Jivanjot Singh played vital role in the success of the sports meet.
