Gamharia, July 6: A peace committee meeting was convened at Kandra police station in view of Bakrid on Wednesday. It was chaired by the officer in-charge Rajendra Prasad Mahato. He urged people to observe the festival with peace and harmony. He said the police would keep a close watch on hooligans and drunkards. He further said that adequate police deployment would be made at various strategic locations to keep peace during the festival. He asked the peace committee members to cooperate with the police and help it maintain law and order.
