Bakrid: Peace committee meeting held at Chaibasa Sadar PS

Chaibasa, July 7: A peace committee meeting was convened at Chaibasa Sadar police station on Thursday ahead of Bakrid. SDO Shashindra Badaik said the festival should be celebrated with unity and brotherhood. He said people should not hurt the religious sentiments of other communities.

SDPO Dilip said the police would keep a close watch on hooligans and anti-social elements during the festival. He further said that the police would also keep a watch on social media to make sure no one gets away with provocative messages. Stern action would be taken against those posting or sharing objectionable content on social media, he said.
