Jamshedpur: Bagbera pandal on Indralok theme attracts crowd

Jamshedpur: The puja pandal of the Sri Sri Sarvajanik Durga Puja Committee, Bagbera Colony, was inaugurated with a grand ceremony on Thursday. Jamshedpur West MLA Sarju Rai and Jamshedpur MP Vidyut Baran Mahto jointly inaugurated the pandal by cutting the ribbon.

This year, the pandal’s theme was “Indralok,” with special use of sponges, tissue paper, bowls, straw, and cloth. The unique decoration of the pandal captivated devotees and locals. This puja, which has been held continuously since 1962, became a special attraction this time.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony, MP Bidyut Baran Mahto said, “Durga Puja is the worship of Shakti. This festival conveys the message of the victory of good over evil and establishes harmony, peace, and prosperity in society. We pray to Mother Goddess that all families be blessed with happiness, peace, and health, and that future generations carry forward this tradition.”

Despite the rain that had been falling since morning, a large crowd of devotees and locals gathered.
