Ranchi, March 7: BJP MLA and party state president Babulal Marandi was declared Leader of Opposition of Jharkhand Assembly Ranchi on Friday by the assembly speaker Rabindra Nath Mahato.
Earlier, the proceedings of the House continued for eight consecutive days without opposition.
All the MLAs present in the House welcomed this announcement of the Assembly Speaker by banging their hands on the table.
On Thursday, in the presence of central observers, Babulal Marandi was elected the leader of the BJP Legislative Party.
Babulal Marandi has given his reaction by posting on social media handle X and expressing his happiness. He posted on social media platform X and said, “This responsibility is an opportunity to further strengthen the commitment to public service. I pledge that I will discharge this responsibility with full loyalty, dedication and energy. BJP and NDA alliance will give priority to public interest issues with full strength and we will raise the voice of the public on every front from the road to the House. ”
