Ayush of DAV Bistupur tops Jamshedpur in CBSE class 12, scores 96.8 per cent

Jamshedpur, May 25: Students of Steel City have proved their mettle once again in the class 12th exams of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

Celebrations started at the campuses with the declaration of CBSE results on Monday afternoon. The students of DAV Public School hogged limelight with students wearing the toppers� crown.

Ayush Kumar, a student of DAV Public School emerged as the city topper with 96.8 per cent in pour science. The commerce topper in the city was Ankit Poddar from Jamshedpur Public School with 96 per cent.

The principal Pragya Singh congratulated her students for splendid performance.

“I thank my staff and teachers and of course the students who have worked hard and made us proud. It is really a great achievement and the toppers will be felicitated for their success,” said Singh.

Talking to the The Avenue Mail, Ayush Kumar said he expected more than 97 percent but seemed satisfied with his performance. �I was expecting more than 97 percent but a couple of errors in Mathematics and computer science lowered my percentage.

Nonetheless, my next target is to enter into one of the top IITs and then I want to get into Research�, said Kitadih Resident.

Son of Railway employee Gaurikant Lal, Ayush says that he wants to become a scientist and pursue my higher studies from abroad and come back to India to give its service to the motherland.

�I scored 95.4 percent in ICSE exam from MNPS and later moved to DAV for my plus 2, said Ayush adding that in JEE Mains I scored 175 and expecting good performance from JEE Advanced�.

Elated by her son�s performance, Archana Kumari mother of Ayush who is a homemaker said that, �From childhood Ayush was sincere in studies and I never had to tell him to do the school or tuition work, he took time out for studies and play and manage the study time pretty well�, said his mother who couldn�t stop smiling.

His elder brother Aman Kumar is pursuing his B.Com third year from St. Xavier�s College in Chaibasa.
