Ayodhya’s festive pulse beats in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Jan 22: The whole atmosphere was electric. The sky turned saffron and slogans of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ rent the air.

The festive pulse of Ayodhya beat across the Kolhan Region. The fervour of Ram Rajya was evident anywhere and everywhere.

The consecration of the majestic Ayodhya Shri Ram Mandir and the coronation of Lord Shri Ram were performed amidst chants of the Lord, blowing of conch shells and bhajans.

The pattern was no different in the three districts of the Kolhan Region. There was a blend of piety and gaiety in every colony and along streets.

It was a saffron sea everywhere. Devotees queued up almost at all temples offering prayers to the Divine Couple and Lord Sri Hanuman for peace, prosperity and fraternity.

Later, since dusk, homes, temples and shops were ethereally decorated with clay lamps giving the feel of twinkling stars descending on earth. The scenes were similar in Jamshedpur, Chaibasa, Seraikela, Kharsawan and other areas of the Region. Devotional programmes were organized in temples. Several social and cultural organizations too lined up Bhajan programmes dedicated to Lord Shri Ram.

Processions with saffron banners and flags marched along the streets with music and chants of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ adding piety to the permeating celebratory air. The processions bore the trademark of ‘Josh’ as the Kolhan Region celebrated the consecration of the Ayodhya Sri Ram Mandir and the coronation of the Lord.

One of the many heartening factors was that no sentimental chord was touched. Peace amidst the joy of the occasion prevailed. The district and police administrations across Kolhan deserve kudos as they left no room for any manner of disturbance thus underlining the commencement and essence of Ram Rajya.
