Awareness drive by Gayatri Parivar women

Jamshedpur: The Tatanagar Mahila Mandal of Akhil Vishwa Gayatri Parivar embarked on an awareness drive for women of Karandih village in Kandra. The members distributed essential articles among the villagers. They also posted stickers of simple philosophical sayings in every home in the village so that people would read the messages and implement them in their daily lives.

Saroj Pandey of Mahila Mandal said that the team�s purpose was to educate and train rural women on their role in developing community. The assistant chairperson of the Mahila Mandal board of trustees Jasbir Kaur stated, �The only way to empower women is to make them realize their strength.�

The youth of Karandih were presented mantra booklets and literature related to de-addiction. Chocolates, biscuits, shoes, socks and dress material were given to the kids. Rice was also distributed among the families at Karandih village.

The Tatanagar Mahila Mandal of Gayatri Parivar that visited Karandih village included Purnima Singh, Rekha Sharma, Basanti Devi, Usha Verma, Asha Sharma, Shila Singh, Amar Singh and Shyam Narayan.
