Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma praises Champai Soren’s use of social media

Jamshedpur, July 21: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma praised former Jharkhand Chief Minister and current Water Resources Minister Champai Soren during a press conference held in Ranchi. Sarma commended Soren’s innovative use of social media to address public issues effectively.

Sarma observed that upon taking charge of party affairs in Jharkhand, he reviewed CM Champai Soren’s Twitter activities and was impressed by his dedication to serving the public through the platform. He noted that Soren addressed problems posted on Twitter immediately, which inspired Sarma to implement a similar approach in Assam.

He stated, “A person who does good work, whether in the ruling party or the opposition, should be praised.” Sarma expressed his admiration for Soren’s efforts, despite never having met him. He highlighted that if a poor person voiced a concern on Twitter, Soren ensured that the issue was promptly addressed by the relevant authorities.

Sarma emphasized the importance of acknowledging good work, regardless of political affiliation, and mentioned his intention to meet Soren after the elections. “Even if he is our opponent, if the opponent does something good, then we should definitely appreciate it,” the Assam Chief Minister remarked
