Khunti: Police have recovered the body of a youth on the banks of Chhata river in Torpa police station area of Khunti district in Jharkhand. The youth has been identified as assistant police personnel Anshu Oskar Hembram, resident of Barkuli Patra Toli of Torpa police station area on Saturday.
Barkuli Patra Toli was returning to his home after late night duty. It is feared that the assistant police became victim of a road accident near Chhata river on Torpa-Karra main road while going home on bike.
Probably some unknown vehicle hit his bike, due to which the bike was completely damaged and he died in the accident. No one got information about this accident as it happened late at night. The next day on Sunday, someone passing through that route noticed the dead body on the roadside. After that the passerby informed the police. After this the police reached the spot and identified the body. The police sent the body to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
Torpa Inspector Digvijay Singh said that the dead body of the assistant police was found in a field located on the banks of Chhata river on Torpa-Karra main road. Prima facie investigation appears to be a case of road accident. An unknown vehicle has hit the assistant policeman, due to which he died. He said that the police are investigating at all points. Anshu was an assistant policeman in Khunti district force. He used to drive the official car of Torpa Inspector Digvijay Singh. Dead body His bike was also found in a damaged condition near the police station. Police suspect that he may have died in a road accident. However, the police are investigating at all points.
According to the information received from the police, Anshu Oskar Hembram, posted on the post of Assistant Police, was initially a driver in Tapkara police station. After that, he was working as a driver in Torpa police station from March 2023, but for the last six-seven months, Torpa Inspector Digvijay Singh was working as a driver.
